Artist
Information Sheet
This is one of your most important forms. It is
a combination of an artist statement, resume, and
a promotional piece. Your Artist Information Sheet
should be easy to read and understand. It should
contain information about who you are, what you
are photographing, and feature some important
highlights of your photographic history.
Think of your Artist Information Sheet as a sales
aid. Someone may be thinking about purchasing
one of your photographs, you must convince them
that this is a good idea and that you are a serious
artist worthy of being collected. Your Artist
Information Sheet will help someone to understand
your work, and the information it provides will
make potential buyers feel more comfortable talking
about your work. The more someone knows about
you and your photographs, the easier it is for
that person to purchase your work. Educating your
buying public will help to create new sales.
For some artists, especially those new to the
field, the artist information sheet may take the
place of a full artist resume.
This and many of the other forms in this section
are called artist support materials. They have
been designed to reinforce the idea that you are
a committed artist, an artist who has done some
thinking about the business side of art, a professional
artist.
It is best to keep your artist information sheet
to one page in length; if you need to elaborate,
do so on your artist statement or your full artist
resume.
Your artist support materials are handouts. Give
them away whenever you are presenting your photographs.
They are especially useful to first time viewers.
Your Artist Information Sheet should normally
be printed on your artist stationery. However,
if you are working with a gallery, this form would
be printed on the gallery's stationery. Or, you
could give the gallery a master copy that excludes
your address.
You will notice that many of the forms are samples
of real artist support materials. Follow them
as examples of how to make your own forms and
change them to fit your needs.
Be sure to cover the subject areas listed on the
example form. Additional subject headings might
include: Exhibitions, Awards, Honors, Education,
Lectures, Collections, Commissions, Workshops,
Forthcoming Exhibitions, Related Experiences,
Influences, or Professional Affiliations.
When
we say this is the price, we mean it!
There are no hidden costs or last minute surprises.
Our digital metal plating process is recognized
as the finest quality output available on the
market, bar none! That means no cost associated
with film and the dated analog proofing method
that was obsolete a decade ago, yet many companies
are still using this lower quality method to produce
your projects!

Your
own Personal Customer Service Expert
At The Graphic Studio we are proud of our CSR
staff. They really make a difference. I cannot
begin to count the times one of our CSR's have
saved the day when a project had a problem. More
importantly they discovered problems and corrected
them before a client ended up with a mess. Many
of these problems would go uncorrected without
their expertise. In fact your personal CSR is
also the same person that actually produces your
project, they are that good! Nothing could be
better and you will have the piece of mind knowing
your project is in the hands of a professional.
At
The Graphic Studiowe do not claim to be the Cheapest.
(even though our prices are really good). We do
claim to be the Best.
